Happy New Year!

新年快乐!

新年あけましておめでとうございます!

새해 복 많이 받으세요!

Yesterday I celebrated New Years, Spanish time (with Madrid), and attempted to eat 12 grapes, one for each strike of the clock as it signaled midnight.  It’s a tradition that goes back for hundreds of years and all of us in the marketing team did it together at 3pm, California time.  If you are able to swallow all 12 grapes by the time the clock is done striking midnight, you are supposed to have good luck for the year.  Sadly, I was still chewing and swallowing for several minutes after it passed.

HOWEVER, I am of the school of thought where you make your own luck so hopefully it doesn’t affect me too much.  2009 was an incredible year and one that will never be able to be duplicated (mostly because I had so many firsts) but 2010 will be my year of professional growth.  Here’s to 2010!
